It is believed and research indicates that mild Dyslexia is prevalent as one out of ten children qualifies for this form of Dyslexia. However, it has frequently been found that they are not eligible for receiving special education services in spite of being affected by Dyslexia. Such children suffer tremendously as they have to struggle in areas of spelling, writing and reading along with the majority non-Dyslexic children. Most of the remedial measures for such types of Dyslexic children centers on training to emphasize the use of phonics. This enables a Dyslexic child to read beyond the elementary stage.
